Retiring to the coast was a longtime dream for the owners of this new custom cottage, so they jumped at the opportunity to purchase a vacant lot in the heart of Southport. Our design honors the town’s historic, traditional architecture while creating an open, modern interior. The house wraps around two mature live oak trees at the center of the lot, creating a beautiful private courtyard. Inside, 10-foot ceilings and generous windows give the interior a light and airy atmosphere.
